Second Helpings is a thrift store founded and operated by the Flathead Food Bank. Our thrift store is a nonprofit organization, run by the same volunteer board of directors and executive director as the Flathead Food Bank. Daily operations are carried out by our small staff and our dedicated volunteers. All donations to Second Helpings are tax deductible. The profits from Second Helpings create a sustainable revenue stream for the Flathead Food Bank and ensure we will be able to feed the hungry in our community for years to come.

"The best thing about this idea is that 100% of the jobs, volunteers, and earnings will stay local to support hungry families in the Flathead Valley... for the long term!" - Flathead Food Bank Executive Director, Lori Botkin

Make a Donation We collect donations of clothing, household items, furniture, appliances, books, and other goods appropriate for a retail setting. We cannot accept mattresses, explosives, toxic waste, weapons, poisons, tires, pharmaceuticals, or any other items that pose a danger to our staff, volunteers, and customers. For questions and clarification, please call Second Helpings at 752-SAVE or download our brochure here.

Help us out There are many ways to support Second Helpings! We always welcome volunteers to help us with our operations. If you would like to volunteer, please call us or download our volunteer application here.
